This symposium was funded by a SSHRC Connection grant with the goal of engaging those with living experience, researchers/ academics and service providers to explore Family Service Toronto’s peer support program for women labelled with intellectual disabilities who have experienced sexual violence. Our role in this project was to lead the arts-based facilitation portion of the symposium, providing templates for activities and conversations, process directions for focus group leaders executing arts-based approaches and leading the facilitation of the living experience focus group. This work was done digitally due to the pandemic, primarily using Google Jamboard, Zoom Whiteboard and Canva.
